La Londe les Maures

We are on a 4 night holiday in Provence with the local choir.  We left home just after lunch yesterday and arrived in the evening.

As we passed through the Camargue, we were treated to a display by the Patrouille Acrobatique de France, the French equivalent of the Red Arrows.  The team have a base at Istres in the Camargue.

John was lucky (and persistent) enough to capture this shot of the Dornier Alpha planes.

We arrived at our holiday village in time to settle in before dinner. Getting to the village in the bus was interesting. The distance between the trees is only just wide enough for a bus and we didn't meet anything coming in the opposite direction.

The village choir is a well established group and we know many of the people, so, as with the majority of the bus tours we have been on, we are with friends.

The holiday village has a large restaurant with a buffet.  Wine for our group is provided on a help yourself basis

After dinner, we set out to find the sea, which is about 20 minutes walk away along a road lines with massive palms.
